DEPARTMENT OF ENTOMOLOGY
The Department of Entomology has well equipped and well established Laboratory as per
recommendation of Vth Deans Committee. The Department of Entomology have the Vocational courses such as
DAESI, Bee keeping etc. For the students as well as unemployed rural youth of the District.
The Department almost taught all the Entomological courses like Fundamentals, Rabi and Kharif pests of
Cereals, Oil seeds, Pulses, Horticultural pests, Plantation crop pests, Storage pests and Rodent Management.
Inspite of above courses management of Beneficial Insects like Bee- Keeping, Sericulture, Lac culture,
Predators, Parasites and Mass multiplication of Beneficial insects. The students also acquainted with IPM
Technology special emphasis given to the Biological control. The Department of Entomology have also sharing
courses with Plant Pathology and Nematology under U G classes.
